Proposed sale of the church building
In 2012, the Church Members made a decision that using the church hall in Queen Street would best suit our purposes for all activities including Sunday worship.
In 2014 it was decided that the church building should be sold.
Since then, various options have been explored. Community use for the building was the preferred option, and discussions with several parties took place. Due to the costs which would be incurred to convert the building for these purposes, it is clear that this is not a viable option in the current economic climate with no improvement in the foreseeable future.
The building was placed on the open market, with a pre-planning application in place for restaurant and / or residential use.
The vision of the church is that the Queen Street hall should be improved and extended which we hope will benefit the community.
Church Services are held in the Queen Street Hall every Sunday morning at 10.45am. The Sunday School also meets every week at the same time.
During the week many other things are held - details are on the website.
Everyone is very welcome.
